Logistics Operations Manager

Celanese International Corporation seeks an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to oversee terminal/warehouse operations, inventory management, and day-to-day logistics activities ensuring timely shipment and delivery to customers.

This role will involve managing logistics activities, resolving escalated issues related to transportation delays, equipment challenges, or other issues impacting on-time delivery. You will also interface with planning, customer service, and logistics leadership teams to develop and manage business processes that meet productivity and quality metrics.

As a key member of the Celanese team, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing regional shipment and traffic processes at third-party distribution centers to ensure timely delivery
• Serving as primary liaison with Freight Forwarders/Carriers for operational issues and performance management
• Ensuring adherence to safety and compliance regulations, trade compliance, customs compliance, transportation, and logistics regulations
• Resolving accidents, returns, diverted rail cars, insurance issues, quantity differences, and other customer or compliance impacting issues
• Maintaining scorecards with metrics for internal process performance

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in supply chain logistics, hazardous substances handling, and SAP system experience. Licenses in international commerce, industrial engineering, or logistics are preferred. Fluency in English is required, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
