Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Leader to join our team at General Motors. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for executing deliverables in support of our business objectives.

Your primary focus will be on guiding one of the key areas within our Global Supply Chain to ensure that business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas, including customer satisfaction, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product, and financial initiatives.

You will communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, both within the function and across other functions and suppliers. Your role will involve supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross-functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production.
  • Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership.
  • Handle very complex capacity constraint issues to resolution with a goal to eliminate potential plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation.
  • Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution.
  • Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.
  • Ability to travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out.
  • Ability to problem tackle complete issues and implement new and innovative strategies.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree: Industrial Engineer, Commerce, or any related degree.

Required experience in similar position: from 1 to 3 years.

Available to change shifts (4x3) working on weekends.

English Level: Advanced.

Key Skills: warehouse management, advanced Microsoft Office package, personnel management.
