**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Tooling Engineer to join our team at Molex, a leading supplier of connectors and interconnect components. As a Tooling Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our molding manufacturing processes.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and develop engineering tooling for molding manufacturing related to automotive connectors
- Design spare parts when models are not available and lead new design kickoffs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Maintenance, Manufacturing, and Management
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce costs
- Design and develop 2D and 3D parts for molds, spare parts, and mold improvements
- Design fixtures and evaluate drawings for mold flow and design
- Develop and implement design of end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) for molding tools
- Track tool transfers and ensure seamless integration with production
**Requirements**
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role related to plastics manufacturing
- Advanced English language skills (conversational and written)
- Experience with NPI (New Product Introduction) processes
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (Mechanical Design Engineer, Industrial Engineer, etc.)
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and mold flow simulation
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with design software (NX Siemens, Autocad, Inventor, Solid Works, Cimatron)
- Experience with End Arm tooling
