About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Supervisor to join our team at Syncreon. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the quality, quantity, cost, and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
- Assign approved service providers for transportation based on the approved carrier matrix, mode, service level, and cost efficiency to meet customer expectations.
- Ensure that all transport fleet vehicles are properly maintained.
- Proactively work with operations to identify shipments at risk of not meeting secure dates based on mode, service level, miles, equipment type.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience performing professional-level operational and plant management duties; preferably in the automotive or logistics industry.
- Knowledge of principles and procedures used in material planning and logistics operations and practices.
- Knowledge of various means of transport/transit times.
