We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Operations Analyst to join our team at Warner Bros. Discovery. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting payroll activities, analyzing and interpreting pay rules, and ensuring compliance with US federal and state regulations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Conduct payroll activities, including entering and reviewing timecard data, adjusting time entries, and calculating pay for union and non-union employees.
* Analyze and interpret pay rules, including collective bargaining agreements and company policies.
* Ensure compliance with US federal and state regulations, including tax laws and benefit deductions.
* Process special pay requests, including relocation, severance, and paid time off.
* Calculate additional payroll-related items, including garnishments and pension.
* Resolve issues with taxes, imputed income, and benefit deductions.
* Initiate pay runs, monitor, and audit payrolls.
* Calculate and enter retroactive pay changes.
* Export data from Workbrain Online Time and Attendance for processing in Workday Payroll.
* Research payroll inconsistencies and irregularities to determine root cause and provide resolution.
* Work with cross-functional counterparts to understand and resolve issues.
* Proactively communicate and collaborate with process partners and/or other points of escalation to provide research and information to resolve issues.
* Follow and maintain internal control policies, procedures, and compliance with respect to the payroll process.
* Assist with month-end closing and general ledger integration queries to the financial system. Prepare journal entries for SAP financial system.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent combination of work experience.
* Experience in payroll operations, managing sensitive and confidential information.
* Experience with Workday HR/payroll or other SaaS payroll tools required.
* Knowledge of Microsoft, particularly with MS Excel.
* Understanding of US federal and state regulations related to salaries, wages, taxes, benefits, and other payroll-related matters.
* Skilled in process management, improvements, and re-engineering.
* Bilingual in Spanish and English.
