Job Description

The Indirect Commodity Manager (Telecommunications and IT Hardware) will be accountable for the execution and implementation of sourcing strategies utilizing global cross-functional strategic sourcing teams. This position will be responsible for savings productivity based on annual spend within assigned commodities. The position will report directly to the Sourcing Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement the sourcing strategy using input from global Sourcing Managers and global business leaders.
  2. Drive implementation of the sourcing strategy for assigned commodities. The Manager will also establish working relationships within the IT Organization, bringing a strategic sourcing perspective that is incorporated into the IT strategy.
  3. Lead and drive results of specific strategic sourcing initiatives within assigned commodities and must be successful at managing and influencing a cross-functional team. Frequently will interact with peers and customers to gain cooperation of others.
  4. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance of the suppliers related to assigned commodities. Assess risk according to global procedures, conduct regular business reviews with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement of the supply base.
  5. Responsible for monthly reporting to senior management on key performance indicators within the supply chain.
  6. Identify and drive productivity improvements by leading joint supplier/unit teams - pursuing TCO reduction opportunities in alignment with the sourcing strategy.
  7. Identify strategic sourcing best practices and drive these best practices into the Rockwell strategic sourcing toolkit.
  8. Assist in developing the Annual Operating Plan for assigned commodities.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, STEM or related field.
  2. Advanced English level.
  3. Minimum three years of experience working in IT procurement, developing supplier strategies and negotiating commercial terms with vendors.
  4. Strong knowledge of IT commodities – Telecommunications and Hardware.
  5. Team contributor – comfortable in leading cross-functional, international and multi-cultural teams.
  6. Strong negotiation skills.
  7. Ability to interpret basic contractual language.
  8. Exceptionally strong organizational and communication skills.
  9. Ability to build solid relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  10. High energy and enthusiasm.
  11. Problem-solving oriented and project management skills.
  12. Knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Master's degree in Business Administration, STEM or related field.
  2. Five years of procurement experience in Telecommunications and IT Hardware; experience in Software and IT Services procurement.

Travel: 10% (Domestic & International)
