About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and control the order cycle and associated information systems to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Monitor and optimize the quality, quantity, cost, and efficiency of goods movement and storage to meet customer expectations.
- Assign approved service providers for transportation based on the carrier matrix, mode, service level, and cost efficiency to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Ensure that all transport fleet vehicles are properly maintained to ensure safety and compliance.
- Proactively identify shipments at risk of not meeting secure dates and collaborate with operations to mitigate potential issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in professional-level operational and plant management duties, preferably in the automotive or logistics industry.
- Knowledge of principles and procedures used in material planning and logistics operations, including transportation modes and transit times.
