Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our Project Technology team. This role offers the opportunity to create technical solutions, try new technologies, and learn new skills in a dynamic setting, primarily working on integrations with our desktop engineering & architecture applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Solution Design
- Design and build custom software solutions tailored to the specific needs of end users and clients, ensuring high quality and performance.
- Lead or participate in discovery meetings with end-users to determine and document requirements.
- Estimate effort to build software solutions.
- Create and assess database and interface designs per SSOE standard schema and meet technology security and performance goals.
- Create and evaluate database designs and user interfaces, ensuring they are efficient, user-friendly, and aligned with project goals.
- Design robust APIs and hosting environments, ensuring they meet the functional and non-functional requirements of projects.
- Evaluate how other teams utilize technologies and provide insightful recommendations to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Assess the impact of server and network architecture on project implementation, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Ensure solutions have secure software test plans, lead remediation, and meet internal team standard compliances.
- Perform and/or assist with training and follow-up activities to application stakeholders.
- Support or train others to support ongoing maintenance, feature requests, and updates.
- Create and maintain HOW-TO documentation as it relates to custom applications.
- Collaborate on project plans and scope for new work.
- Work independently or co-develop in teams to address business objectives & outcomes on time, schedule, and budget.
- Research and analyze potential new technologies.
- Contribute to project showcase sessions for team growth and accomplishments.
- Participate in industry conferences or technical user groups as a speaker and submit abstracts.
- Participate in self-paced, team and/or organizational trainings and upskilling in technical and professional development areas.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience with software development.
- General: MS SQL,.NET, Git/Azure DevOps, C#, Entity Framework, Python.
- Web: ASP.NET, MVC, IIS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, SASS, jQuery.
- Desktop: WPF, PowerShell.
- Preferred:
- Exposure and experience with APIs in: Microsoft O365/Azure/Power Platform, Autodesk Desktop Applications, BIM360/ACC, Autodesk Platform Services, Deltek, and/or UKG systems a plus.
