Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Trimble is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Level II to enhance our team in Mexicali, Mexico. This is a pivotal moment to contribute as we expand and introduce innovative features and technologies to our acclaimed construction collaboration solutions.
The SDET plays a crucial role in elevating the quality of software releases through the implementation of automation processes and enhancements to tools. In an agile development setting, the SDET will devise and apply tailored testing methodologies to demonstrate measurable improvements in the software released. Furthermore, this individual will be tasked with automating test cases and workflows to expedite our testing and release cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automation scripts and the test automation framework Continuously assess and enhance established software processes Plan, schedule, and execute testing projects Design and create quality testing procedures; update and refine existing tests as needed Conduct moderately complex functional, application, regression, and performance testing Define and adhere to quality standards Provide metrics and outcomes from all testing efforts to support business decisions regarding the quality of Trimble software Recommend and assess test automation and performance tools Advocate for new automation techniques and best practicesRequired Competencies

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in software quality assurance or an equivalent combination of education and experience Prior experience in test automation and scripting Strong understanding of QA processes Knowledge of cloud and virtualization testing environments and deployment testing Strong technical skills with various business software tools Experience with QA-related tools for requirements management, test management, and defect trackingPreferred Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a global work environment Familiarity with performance and security testing tools and techniques Knowledge of microservice testing techniques Working knowledge of Jira Understanding of construction back office functions and/or accounting-
