Operations Handler Job Description

At FedEx Express México, we are seeking a highly skilled Operations Handler to join our team. As an Operations Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery and pickup of packages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide efficient and safe delivery and pickup of packages, ensuring proper labeling, legality of content, and adherence to safety policies.
  • Check packages to ensure they meet weight, size, and wrapping requirements, and complete necessary paperwork with accuracy.
  • Seek additional business from current customers and inform Station Ops. Manager and Sales of changes in customer/competitor efforts.
  • Load and unload company aircraft and vehicles in a safe manner, and audit size and weight of packages and boxes.
  • Ensure the use of safety equipment and full compliance with FedEx safety policies, procedures, norms, rules, and practices.
  • Operate company vehicles in a safe and secure manner, and perform basic maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
  • Middle School degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Basic English Skills.
  • Experience operating ramp and warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
  • General vehicle maintenance a plus and power and hand tools experience preferred.
  • Ability to successfully complete Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and Math sections of the Basic Skills Test.
