About the Role

We're seeking a talented Procurement Manager to join our team, focusing on supply chain optimization. Your primary responsibility will be to manage MRP to ensure that materials supply equals demand and support the optimization of overall cost of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop supply base and supply chain strategies tailored to customer needs or Business Unit strategic materials.
  • Support customers' business requirements using standard processes where possible and customized solutions when necessary, collaborating with purchasing managers and SCM teams to determine the best approach.
  • Communicate Jabil's expectations to suppliers, conduct supplier audits/visits, certifications, and performance reviews to develop and continuously improve the supply base.
  • Ongoing monitoring of suppliers' delivery, quality, and service performance, obtaining feedback from Materials Planners.
  • Support and execute Jabil SCM initiatives and strategies, provide inputs for improvement.
  • Quote new and existing materials, frequently re-quote and negotiate to capitalize on cost reduction opportunities, working closely with Materials Quotation Analysts as needed.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions that protect Jabil's interests and those of its customers, including liability terms, special stocking arrangements, and other agreements outside standard Jabil terms and conditions.
  • Ensure execution of Jabil pricing and terms & conditions agreements, such as World Wide Purchasing Agreements negotiated and agreed upon by Jabil.
  • Improve sourcing options by working with internal resources and customers to add Jabil preferred and/or strategic suppliers to Approved Manufacturer's Lists (AML).
  • Analyze and project component purchase prices accurately reflecting inventory value for financial periods within the Standard Costing process.
  • Provide input to determine Quoted Costs to Customers that are competitive yet maximize Materials Price Variance (MPV), aiming to continuously optimize MPV by reducing material costs and limiting unfavorable PPV/MPV.
  • Work with Business Units (BUM) to obtain customer authorization for additional expenses like premiums on materials, freight, and tooling charges incurred on behalf of customers.
  • Maintain open communication and collaboration with Materials Planners, ensuring suppliers meet overall business needs of Jabil.
