As a key technical specialist, you will work alongside business, product development, and infrastructure teams within a scaled agile framework, managing short change cycles to drive our future-state strategy.

You will design, build, and deploy complex, forward-looking Infrastructure as Code to support the Takeda Enterprise Cloud Platform and Applications deployed onto the Takeda Enterprise Cloud.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working as a technical leader to drive our future-state strategy through continuous management of short change cycles.
  • Designing, building, and deploying complex Infrastructure as Code to support the Takeda Enterprise Cloud Platform and Applications.
  • Applying deep cloud infrastructure knowledge with respect to microservices architecture, design patterns, continuous integration, and deployment.
  • Contributing to Takeda's mission by leading the development and adoption of cloud-first solutions that deliver business outcomes and drive innovation.
  • Monitoring for vulnerabilities and troubleshooting performance issues by implementing alert strategies for production environments.
  • Provisioning AWS environments using infrastructure-as-code and partnering with development teams to design a robust deployment and patching strategy.
  • Collaborating with product leads, scrum master, business customers to define feature specifications and build the next generation of digital health solutions.
  • Working closely with infrastructure, network, and security teams to provision environments, configure services, and perform capacity planning.
  • Participating in support rotation, responding to system health alerts, and triaging issues alongside helpdesk, managed services, and cloud ops teams.
  • Developing and maintaining application documentation according to Takeda Quality Systems and Software Development Life Cycle standards and procedures.

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience spanning multiple IT disciplines, including systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, and integration.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, IAM, EC2, LBs, AWS Native CI/CD Services, S3).
  • Highly proficient in provisioning AWS resources using Infrastructure as a code (IaC) with hands-on experience developing Cloud Formation Templates or Terraform.
  • Strong hands-on experience with containerization (EKS, OpenShift) is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in system-level scripting using BASH and/or PowerShell.
  • Hands-on programming skills in one or more high-level languages like Python, Golang, Node.js, Java.
  • Proficient in handling CI/CD integrations with GitHub, GitHub Actions, or equivalent and deploying infrastructure and applications on AWS.
  • Fluency with modern DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipeline processes.
  • Good Operating System level debugging skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, business acumen, and enterprise knowledge.
