About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Senior Analyst to join our team in Mexico City. As a key member of our Credit Risk Squad, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing our credit risk function.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Challenge business models to identify opportunities for enhancement and improvement.
  2. Develop and implement a reporting procedure to ensure efficient communication of credit risk exposure to enable sustainable growth.
  3. Propose and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to explain changes in our credit risk portfolio.
  4. Review and monitor credit risk appetite to ensure alignment with our organization's goals.
  5. Share knowledge of the Mexico credit market and regulations with stakeholders.
  6. Understand financial metrics related to profitability and costs.
  7. Present risk messages to senior management to consolidate updates.
  8. Review and challenge credit policies defined by the first line of defense.
  9. Analytical, problem-solving, and passionate about data manipulation.
  10. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Math, Statistics, Physics, or related fields.
  11. Experience in managing credit risk, either in the first or second line of defense, or implementing credit risk-related projects.
  12. Knowledge of credit risk models, policies, KPIs, and ERM requirements.
  13. Proficiency in coding skills, including SQL, Python, Scala, or similar programming languages, and experience with large datasets.
  14. Advanced or fluent English language skills.
  15. Adaptability to dynamic work environments and short-term deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of Expected Credit Loss models, PD, EAD, LGD, financial forecasting, and International Standards (such as IFRS9, Basel II, Basel III).
  2. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present projects to senior stakeholders.
  3. Strong toolkit of modeling or Machine Learning techniques.
