VMware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled VMware Engineer to join our team. As a VMware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing our VMware infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deploy VMware environments (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi) in both physical and virtual settings.
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
- Contribute to system standards, policies, and procedures.
- Support the VMware vSphere environment including activities such as design, maintenance & troubleshooting.
- Serve as an escalation point for technical issues at the team level.
- Troubleshoot technology issues, using various internal and external resources.
- Document technical problems, resolutions, and processes for assigned tasks and projects.
- Participate in testing and evaluation of new technologies to ensure compatibility and functionality.
- Follow policies and procedures for change and incident management.
- Participate in rotational on-call shifts.
- Act as an escalation resource for complex technical issues and root cause analysis.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
You're a fit for the role if your background includes:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years related work experience.
- 2+ years of solid Virtualization experience.
- Strong VMware vRealize Orchestrator - design and development
- Strong automation experience – Python / PowerCli scripting
- Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrable customer focus attitude.
- Experience with virtualization in a mid-to-large scale data center environment.
- Strong VMware vRealize Operations - Design and Support experience
- Strong vSphere API skills - automation and development
- Understanding of storage, network, and hardware technologies.
- Experience with NetApp storage and Cisco Data Center networking.
- Experience in working on Pure Storage Technology.
- Strong understanding of Cloud technologies
