**Job Summary**

This is a journeyman level machinist position where the operator can operate most or all machines in the shop.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Operate a variety of machine tool equipment, including drill presses, lathes, milling machines, and CNC machines.
  • Work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to fabricate machined components.
  • Make calculations using handbook formulas to layout patterns and determine tooling feeds and speeds.
  • Perform inspections on parts using precision measuring tools.
  • May program some machines.
  • Work independently or with a lead to complete jobs on schedule and accurately.
