Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team at Ford Motor Company. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications using cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in collaborative software development using Agile methodologies and Extreme Programming (XP) principles.
  • Develop and maintain cloud-based applications using NodeJS, ExpressJS, Angular, React, and GraphQL.
  • Design and implement scalable and secure cloud architectures using Microservices and containerization.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud-based applications.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement infrastructure as code, build pipelines, and continuous integration and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain APIs and REST services using Spring Boot and Cloud SQL.
  • Work with Stream processing Systems such as Storm, Spark-Streaming, and Pulsar/Kafka Streams.
  • Develop and maintain cloud-based applications using Big Query, Cloud Run, and PostgreSQL.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform, specifically Google Kubernetes Engine, Terraform, and infrastructure.
  • Experience with container management solutions, including Kubernetes, Docker, and Cloud Native technologies.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Cloud SQL, Big Query, Cloud Run, PostgreSQL, and GECHUB.
  • Experience developing APIs or REST services.
  • Experience working with Stream processing Systems.
  • Experience with Big Data development on cloud platforms.
  • Experience with advanced software configuration management, including source control, DevOps, CI/CD, and alerting and monitoring.
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments, mainframe legacy, and open-source technologies.

  • Experience in supporting continuous improvement by investigating development alternatives.
  • Experience in all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of coding and software craftsmanship practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision-making.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to share and teach others.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, with a passion for leading-edge technologies and emerging software trends.
