Strategic Procurement Specialist

At Thales, we are looking for a talented Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference in the world of procurement.

As a Strategic Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in managing Procurement Purchase Contracts with our key suppliers. Your primary responsibility will be to execute all Day To Day activities related to Procurement Purchase Contracts, including receiving procurement requests and verifying their conformity to operating methods. You will also be responsible for transforming Purchase Requisitions (PRs) into Purchase Orders (POs), reviewing and ensuring accuracy of the PO, and managing purchase order cancellation, rescheduling or PO information changes.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with our Regional Procurement Category Managers and Buyers to manage local negotiations within the Delegation of Authority thresholds. You will also be responsible for RFQ management within the DOA thresholds and involving the segment team as needed.

An important part of this role will be reporting on procurement projects status, preparing reports on purchases, including cost analysis, and being accountable for compliance with Thales procurement policy and with the Manage Acquisition process of Chorus 2.0. You will also participate in and/or lead Supplier reviews, such as Weekly Delivery reviews, Performance improvement, and Supplier Program Reviews.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or business, with at least 4 years of experience in a similar role. You should have expertise in analyzing Commercial Contracts and be able to make commitments and deliver on them. Additionally, you should have good communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work individually and as part of a team.

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
