About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Business Development Representative to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities that drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cold-call prospects generated by external sources of lead and develop sales opportunities through research and identification of potential accounts.
  • Identify decision-makers within targeted leads and initiate the sales process, utilizing your excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with customers.
  • Penetrate all targeted accounts and generate sales from within the client base, collaborating with team members to determine strategic sales approaches.
  • Create and deliver qualified opportunities to other team members, ensuring seamless handoffs and driving sales momentum.
  • Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects, leveraging your technical skills to efficiently manage contacts and follow up on leads.
  • Ensure follow-up by passing leads to appropriate team members with clear calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, sources, and other relevant details.
  • Set up and deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations, and other sales actions, effectively communicating the value proposition to customers.
  • Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients, demonstrating your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales, using your objection-handling skills to overcome customer concerns.
  • Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Attend periodic sales training sessions, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve performance.
  • Avoid sacrificing internal relationships while creatively demonstrating value to customers, fostering a culture of collaboration and trust.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and pleasant phone manner, pleasantly persisting with customers to close negotiations and meet sales targets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; at least 2 years of relevant experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in the food industry.
  • SAP and Salesforce experience a plus, showcasing your proficiency in CRM tools and technology.
  • Flexibility to identify and capitalize on business opportunities, coupled with high energy, a challenge-oriented mindset, and diligence to close negotiations.
  • Ability to build strong internal relationships and develop creative methods to demonstrate value to customers, highlighting your exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer an estimated annual salary of $85,000, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. Additionally, relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.
