Scope of the Position

The Plant Controller is responsible for ensuring the financial and accounting functions of the company are not compromised. This role involves developing the Finance team and promoting an environment of internal control and continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company's financial plans.
  • Maintain accurate tax records and prepare financial reports for management review.
  • Create and develop the Finance Department to provide the company with effective and efficient accounting information and reliable financial analysis.
  • Maintain accounting records and safeguard financial information.
  • Control budgets, both monthly and annually.
  • Develop, analyze, and interpret statistical and accounting information to evaluate operational results in terms of profitability, performance with respect to budget, and other matters that influence the organization's operational soundness and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial provisions.
  • Direct the final month-end closing process, including the analysis of accounts, variances, and the presentation of the final results to Management.
  • Review Federal and State taxes.
  • Work closely with management in manufacturing to control actual expenses versus budget on a monthly basis and investigate any questions they may have about their expenses.
  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute reports of variation in the Manufacturing process.
  • Control monthly reconciliations and maintain the General Ledger.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Direct and manage cash and bank movements.
  • Control cash flow.
  • Produce reports for business and local management.
  • Advise management on problems or issues based on analysis.
  • Work closely with the US-Cluster on ad-hoc requirements and reports.

Accountability and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

The Plant Controller is accountable for guaranteeing the reliability, accuracy, and completeness of the site's financial information. This role also involves guaranteeing that risks and opportunities are presented in an actionable manner to other departments, ensuring the efficiency of financial and administrative processes, and guaranteeing the engagement and development of the Finance team.

Profile and Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Administration, Business Administration, or a similar field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in supervision and accounting, preferably in a manufacturing company, is required. The candidate should be familiar with manual and automated accounting systems and have knowledge of advanced finance tools in the global finance market. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent verbal and written skills, be able to analyze problems and provide logical and realistic solutions, and have strong leadership skills.
