About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Transition Analyst to join our team at Wm De Mexico, S. De R.L. De C.V. As a key member of our Scenarios & Technologies team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining emerging market coverage in Latin America and Africa.

Your primary focus will be on updating and developing Wood Mackenzie's proprietary forecasts, rotating swiftly from market to market. You will conduct primary research to fill gaps in analysis and contribute new views, insights, and analytics as the market grows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce regular analyses and written reports on emerging markets' adaptation to the Energy Transition
  • Own and develop analyses and written content with input from key stakeholders
  • Work with the Scenarios & Technologies team to update analyses for faster transition scenarios
  • Present findings in market reports, industry insight pieces, and in-person via conference calls, webinars, and conferences
  • Build strong relationships with industry stakeholders in emerging markets
  • Conduct high-quality primary research with project developers, governments, and investors
  • Strengthen the data apparatus through surveys, interviews, and secondary research
  • Provide high-quality client service to research subscribers
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of knowledge and hands-on experience in energy modelling of energy-related markets
  • Previous work or academic experience in power and renewables, carbon policies, or energy transition-related novel technologies
  • Strong familiarity with policy landscape impacting the energy transition
  • Familiarity with energy demand, technology adoption, and technology cost modelling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Self-driven and capable of switching between individual contributor and collaborator roles
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients and industry stakeholders
