We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Insurance Technology Head to lead our Mexico Insurance Technology team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of DevOps and Agile practices across our Mexico Insurance Technology estate.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead and manage development teams in distribution and manufacturing to ensure the successful development and implementation of IT projects.
  • System owner and engineering leadership of all IT services to support the Insurance business in Mexico.
  • Drive the successful and on-time development of IT projects within budget, with a specific focus on digital transformation and foundational product manufacturing capabilities.
  • Manage the relationship with senior business stakeholders across Mexico and the Regional/Global insurance business, including CEO, COO, and CRAO.
  • Provide technical leadership for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of highly complex and critical HSBC IT systems to regional or local business units.
  • Manage staff development, assessment, training, motivation, discipline, recruitment, and retention to assist the team in promoting the highest professional standards within the development environment.

**Requirements:**

  • Experience and knowledge of Insurance products in the Mexico market, particularly Life Insurance.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of a variety of new and old technologies and architecture patterns, including Oracle, Cloud, iSeries, COBOL, Java, and SOA.
  • At least 15 years of working experience in IT, with 5-8 years in management/leadership capacity.
  • Proven record of driving Best Practices, DevOps, and Agile.
  • Proven record of directing and coordinating large-scale projects and delivery within time, resources, and budget constraints.
  • Strong people skills, including change agent, decision-making, influencing, management, and communication.
