Job Summary
The Industrial Engineer - Process Improvement Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing efficiency, productivity, and quality within our manufacturing processes. This individual will evaluate current practices, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to optimize production lines and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement efficient production processes and workflows.
- Develop approaches to flex manufacturing processes with existing equipment to accommodate varying customer demand scenarios.
- Conduct timing analyses for manufacturing processes to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Ensure that processes meet quality standards and are designed to minimize waste and production issues.
- Review production schedules, processes, and specifications to identify areas for improvement.
- Evaluate data to implement technological improvements in production processes.
- Implement controls to monitor costs, reduce waste, and minimize production issues.
- Design facility layouts and personnel requirements to optimize production.
- Develop instruction manuals for production personnel.
- Ensure that work processes are safe and address safety concerns.
Requirements
- BS in Industrial Engineering or related field (Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering).
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in manufacturing.
- Experience with REFA and MTM methodologies, time analysis/studies, and work package distribution on operators.
- Experience in line productivity/output improvement, line capacity & volume management process.
- Fluent English level required.
Competencies and Qualifications
- Knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards in the automotive industry.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and supply-chain management.
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Just In Time (JIT) strategizing.
- Project management, organizational, planning, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously.
