Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Battery Module Design and Release Engineer to join our team at FCA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and releasing high voltage battery modules, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high voltage battery modules, including HV battery packs and cells
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design and release meets company and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, including CAD drawings and specifications
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with DFMEA and DVP&R
  • Work with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability of HV battery components
  • Develop and implement design release processes to ensure efficient and effective product development

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience, including 3 years in product engineering design and development
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with FCA releasing system
  • Strong technical research and writing skills
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
  • Google Suite expertise
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Legally eligible to work in Mexico

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Business
  • Experience in the full product life cycle, including reactive and/or DFSS black belt
  • Previous high voltage battery design and release experience
  • Preferred experience with HV battery packs, modules, and cells
  • Minimum 3 years of CAD, CAE, and/or design release experience at a OEM or Tier 1 supplier
  • Preferred hands-on experience working with HV batteries or other electro-mechanical assemblies
