Job Summary:
Grupo Tecma is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee the quality management system and ensure the production and delivery of defect-free products. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment and possess a strong understanding of quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee day-to-day quality activities for both Block and Shape departments.
- Supervise Quality personnel and communicate product testing needs with Q.A. and production.
- Ensure that in-process and final quality checks are completed on the product.
- Provide monthly reports to the Corporate Director of Quality and Plant Manager.
- Schedule and conduct monthly internal audits based on the planned audit schedule.
- Maintain procedure books and forms as directed.
- Calibrate monitoring and measuring equipment.
- Perform various testing of products.
- File quality records according to the quality records table.
- Data Entry.
- Communicate any quality concerns with the Plant Manager and Director of Quality as applicable.
- Manage direct reports and oversee training program.
- Interview candidates for quality positions.
- Conduct corrective action, disciplinary, and performance appraisal meetings.
- Responsible for managing staffing levels such as approving time cards and time off requests.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be fluent in the English language, both written and spoken.
- Must be able to use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
