Your Key Responsibilities
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Managing and analyzing an existing portfolio of business to identify areas for growth and improvement
- Building a profitable book of business through underwriting new and renewal policies, promoting premium growth within authorized limits
- Preparing risk referrals for new and existing business to support underwriting decisions
- Using rater tools and preparing booking instructions to ensure accurate policy issuance
- Fostering commercial relationships with clients and brokers to drive business growth and retention
- Maintaining a deep understanding of market trends and competitor activity to inform underwriting decisions
- Collaborating with claims teams to optimize risk management and minimize losses
- Developing presentations, training materials, and internal/external networking opportunities to enhance underwriting excellence
- Participating in regular meetings with clients and brokers to discuss business needs and provide expert advice
