Key Responsibilities- Conduct cost studies and analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of product-specific costs and manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Provide expert costing data and support to customers' purchasing departments
- Conduct cost benchmarking activities and identify gaps and cost reduction opportunities
- Support project management and domain leaders in assessing workload and timelines
- Develop and maintain technical content and guidelines, and improve internal tools and models
- Graduate from an engineering school or equivalent engineering master's degree in automation, systems engineering, or manufacturing/production
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a major engineering company as an interior cost engineer, or 5+ years of experience in a major engineering company as a systems/technical design/manufacturing engineer
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing and assembly processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen interest in the automotive industry and its products, innovation, and manufacturing technologies
