About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Programme Coordinator to join our team at Oxfam Gb.

Job Description:
  • Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
  • Location: Ghana
  • Reports to: Programme Effectiveness Manager

Overview:

Oxfam in Ghana is committed to tackling poverty and inequality through sustainable development and humanitarian programmes. As a Strategic Programme Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the Programme Effectiveness Team to achieve our strategic ambitions.

Main Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for providing technical coordination support in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning activities (MEAL) and knowledge management to ensure effective campaign and programme delivery. This includes:

  • Supporting the Programme Effectiveness Lead in managing the OPAL system
  • Coordinating partnership management processes and programmes
  • Developing and implementing approaches and systems for delivering accountability to beneficiaries, donors, and stakeholders
  • BUILDING THE CAPACITY OF PARTNERS IN MEAL SYSTEMS AND APPROACHES AS APPROPRIATE
  • Conducting programme and campaign monitoring activities with gender lenses
  • Writing and contributing to Oxfam's communication bulletins in country
  • Supporting assessment of new potential partners and developing capacity building plans
  • Implementing feedback mechanisms with communities and partners

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of MEAL principles and practices
  • Experience in programme coordination and management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite
