The Role

At Alight, our Payroll consulting team is responsible for deploying payroll outsourcing projects within time, budget, and scope. We work closely with clients, pre-sales, sales, and functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of payroll projects.

Job Purpose

As an SAP Payroll Functional Consultant, you will be key in ensuring all client configuration requirements are correct. You will have ownership for the technical and functional implementation of client projects.

Responsibilities

  1. Partner with clients to understand their current payroll requirements and propose effective Alight solutions.
  2. Understand client business issues and constraints, and recommend the best solutions.
  3. Lead the solution design, review, and alignment of deliverables to ensure timely and in-scope delivery.
  4. Provide subject matter expertise for all SAP payroll-related technical and functional issues in the country.
  5. Partner with internal cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.
  6. Capture and document client requirements as appropriate, and create relevant work packages according to agreed-upon solutions.
  7. Ensure that lessons learned activities from a functional and technical point of view are completed.
  8. Provide deliverables and project objectives to functional and technical resources assigned to the project.
  9. Document any deviations from Alight standards and report them to the project team.
  10. Provide subject matter expertise to all technical and functional resources assigned to the project.
  11. Act as the primary escalation point within the project for all project issues related to functional implementation.
  12. Ensure proficiency and quality in the configuration, use, and deployment of OM/PA/PY/TM modules in the project currently assigned.

Requirements

  1. Demonstrate exceptional SAP Payroll Functional and Technical implementation and configuration experience.
  2. Have extensive experience leading a project team delivering SAP Payroll implementations for country-specific clients.
  3. Have an exceptional understanding of country-specific Payroll legislation and practices.
  4. Have experience in a consulting role within a payroll technology environment.
  5. Demonstrate excellent analytical capabilities and have an eye for detail.
  6. Be highly organized and able to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment.
  7. Be a natural communicator and have the ability to build successful relationships with clients and teams.
  8. Have excellent written and verbal skills in English.
