Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Engineer to join our team at Yanfeng Automotive. As a Packaging Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering component/finished goods packaging solutions that meet our total land cost requirements while ensuring quality and ergonomics throughout the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Yanfeng Packaging Engineering systems and processes to support various teams and facilitate packaging solutions based on current automotive industry best practices and Yanfeng best-in-class packaging standards.
  • Review, investigate, and implement packaging solutions for total land cost and quality improvements for existing programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging solutions meet business requirements and customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain packaging design standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all packaging solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in packaging engineering and apply this knowledge to improve packaging solutions and processes.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in packaging engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging design software and CAD systems.
  • Experience with total land cost analysis and packaging cost reduction strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex packaging problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, depending on business needs.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
