Job Summary

The Procurement Leader will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet the company's objectives through strong leadership and teamwork. This role will establish and implement strategic plans to support short and long-term company goals through the development of the supplier base, managing and controlling procurement business risks, improving quality, delivery, and inventory performance, and reducing total costs to contribute to the company's profitability and leadership within the sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage supplier relationships and risk assessment to ensure a stable and reliable supply chain.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation plans to minimize potential disruptions.
  • Negotiate and contract with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Develop robust category strategies to reduce supply base, dependence on single/sole sourced suppliers, and deliver continuity of supply while providing annual cost reductions.
  • Deliver annual VIP (cost reductions) and PPV objectives at category and plant levels, and address supplier quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate the development and execution of long-term strategies to optimize the company's position in terms of quality, cycle/response time, technology, risk, and total cost.
  • Mitigate risk and continuously develop and improve supplier systems and processes.
  • Search for new suppliers and technology to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Create a productivity projects pipeline through various areas and the GP team.
  • Manage the team to ensure delivery of cash flow benefits, including AOP and +90 days payment terms.
  • Manage and develop relevant SLAs for each category.
  • Lead and coach the procurement team to create a bench pipeline.
  • Leverage technology and purchasing power to reduce the overall cost of ownership and acquisition through strategic negotiation and optimization of supplier agreements.
  • Have overall responsibility for leading a team in the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities, in support of business objectives for cycle/response time, quality assurance, technology/new product development, risk mitigation, and total cost.
  • Provide strategies that extend through the full supply chain.
  • Effectively manage long-term relationships with national and global suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Graduated in Business, Administration, Commerce, Economics, or Engineering degrees. MBA is desirable.
  • Proven experience in similar positions in manufacturing companies within the procurement processes (strategic sourcing, negotiations, contract management, TCO decisions) on a regional/global level. Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Procurement, having a Certification in Procurement is a must for this position.
  • Strong decision-making skills surrounding million-dollar contracts and agreements and major policies.
  • Risk management skill set required to drive innovative solutions and problem-solving analysis and resolution.
  • Seasoned negotiator with knowledge of cost tools such as material breakdown, benchmarking, value analysis, value engineering, ROI, and innovative purchasing tools.
  • Strong project management skills to drive CAPEX projects to closure.
  • Ability to think strategically and globally.
  • Ability to manage diverse stakeholder interests and expectations.

Salary: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per month
