About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSES) Manager to join our team in Mexico. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing QHSES functions, with a primary focus on our operations in Mexico.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain QHSES policies and procedures for our Mexico plant, warehousing, and terminal operations.
- Oversee QHSES permitting and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to local and international standards.
- Lead the continuous improvement of policies and processes to enhance QHSES performance.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure compliance with local and international QHSES regulations.
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide training and support to employees to enhance QHSES awareness and compliance.
- Collaborate with local authorities, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
- Provide support to global QHSES initiatives, collaborating with international teams to ensure consistent implementation of best practices.
- Prepare timely reports, questionnaire responses, and due diligence related to QHSES.
- Manage ISO 9001 and other certifications and systems related to QHSES.
- Collaborate with the Sustainability team on QHSES performance improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in QHSES management, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Strong knowledge of local and international QHSES regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Minimum 8 years' professional experience in related field.
- Demonstrated ability to build and implement QHSES policies and procedures.
- Self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously.
- Experience conducting health and safety trainings.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and perform under pressure.
