**Job Summary**

The Molex Procurement Specialist is responsible for supporting and executing site procurement for our new plant in Zacoalco, Jalisco, ensuring smooth operations and efficient supply chain management.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Efficiently execute daily purchasing activities on assigned goods and services ensuring quality and sustainability and meeting internal stakeholders' business requirements.
  • Initiate ideas and actions to improve purchasing efficiency, seek opportunities for total cost improvement across supply base through vendor consolidation, volume leveraging and commercial negotiation.
  • Continuously develop technical expertise in procurement, including a deep understanding of the supplier base and comprehensive knowledge of product cost factors, to drive strategic sourcing.
  • Lead the recruitment, evaluation, and selection of suppliers through market sourcing, identification of supplier capabilities, the creation of RFx documents, proposal review, risk analysis, and complex commercial contract negotiation.
  • Collaborate with Global Category Management in supplier negotiations and contract development to drive strategic sourcing initiatives and achieve optimal value for the organization.
  • Ensures company compliance with contracts, sourcing policies and preferred suppliers.
  • Communicates category updates to all stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.

**Requirements**

  • Experience in sourcing and contract development and negotiation
  • Working knowledge in procurement practices and processes
  • Ability to communicate with business stakeholders and vendors in English
  • Working knowledge of a P2P (Procure to Pay) System (SAP Ariba, Basware, Coupa)
