Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating environmental management systems, ensuring compliance with government regulations and best management practices, and promoting a culture of safety and sustainability within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate environmental management systems, including ISO 14001 certification programs
- Develop and implement health and safety programs that meet and exceed OSHA requirements
- Conduct incident investigations and provide recommendations for improvement
- Lead ergonomic activities, safety audits, and maintain plant visibility
- Meet with government officials to address environmental and safety issues
- Coordinate health and safety compliance to TS16949 Standards
- Facilitate HSE Core Teams and coordinate Health, Safety, and Environment Orientations for new employees
- Coordinate all Fire Protection efforts, including sprinkler system testing and inspection
- Practice and enforce 5S standards
- Participate in Hoshin and Continuous Improvement activities
- Stay informed of environmental aspects and work to eliminate or reduce FMEA ratings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional site experience in a manufacturing environment
- Operational knowledge of production methods (Kanban, 5S, Hoshin, TPM)
- Strong sense of teamwork and communication skills
- Proven track record in upholding safety and quality standards
