Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Manager to join our team in Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Customs and Trade Compliance program to mitigate risk and cost to the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain IMMEX compliance to ensure seamless operations
- Conduct internal customs audits and self-assessments at manufacturing plants within Mexico
- Support manufacturing sites in customs and international trade-related issues
- Collaborate closely with others to ensure business operations are completed timely and accurately
- Implement best strategies to remain compliant with regulations and reduce customs costs
- Manage outside service providers and implement broker strategy
- Provide strategic advice on complex supply chains
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a similar role
- Manufacturing, Purchasing, Legal, Logistics experience is a plus
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills with strict attention to detail
- In-depth knowledge of MX Customs (SAT) regulations, IMMEX, etc., and Tariff Classification
- Proficiency in English and Spanish; additional language skills are a plus
