Asset Protection Associate

As a key member of the Amazon Delivery Stations team, the Loss Prevention Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our operations. This high-level hourly position leads the effort to provide security services and asset protection in a designated fulfillment center.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in security services, audit, risk management, inventory control, or a related field. Proficiency in MS Office Professional Suite, including Excel, is required. Shift work may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays. A high school diploma or equivalent is the minimum educational requirement, with basic to intermediate level English proficiency.

The Loss Prevention Specialist reports to the Loss Prevention Manager and works closely with the DS Operational team and cross-functional teams to support the organization's goals. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities

1. Enhance, track, and report on key performance indicators to drive performance improvements
2. Ensure internal controls meet Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements
3. Assist with investigations of internal and external theft and fraud, and conduct interviews as needed
4. Inspire performance excellence among security services team members
5. Ensure alignment with the organization's vision and values, and communicate them clearly
6. Meet or exceed objectives aligned with the security service model
7. Identify and promote security best practices in designated DS
8. Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods to drive process improvements and increase efficiency
9. Effectively partner with internal customers to evaluate current and future security services, processes, and initiatives
10. Coordinate data collection and analysis to generate strategic and tactical interpretations

This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in databases (SQL, MySQL, Access), and excellent communication skills. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, interviewing and interrogation techniques, and business continuity experience is desired. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field is preferred.
