ServiceNow Architect Job Description

The ServiceNow Architect at Avertium plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing a robust ServiceNow platform that aligns with our enterprise IT architecture. This position requires a deep understanding of ServiceNow and its various features, including development, configuration, and customizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a stable production, development, and testing middleware infrastructure.
  • Build ServiceNow reports, dashboards, and homepage.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve enterprise platform-related processes.
  • Work with team members, internal customers, and external vendors to design, configure, test, document, and deploy system changes.
  • Understand new ServiceNow features and unused module functionality to drive platform expansion and adoption.
  • Provide technical insight in designing and supporting ServiceNow while aligning to Service Management standard methodologies.
  • Gather specifications from service owners, document requirements, and deliver product releases to meet business needs.
  • Design and build integrations and process automation using ServiceNow Orchestration.
  • Software Asset Management experience in the context of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Be the primary resource for ensuring system health.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 5+ years of experience in IT Operations.
  • Expertise with development in ServiceNow environments (JavaScript, XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, JSON).
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL methodologies, ITSM concepts, enterprise IT architecture, relational databases.
  • Prior experience with Professional Service Delivery, Managed Services, and/or Service Portal.
  • Advanced in JavaScript development in ServiceNow components.
  • Create and configure on many aspects of Service-Now including but not limited to:
    • Business rules
    • Glide records
    • UI policies
    • UI actions
    • Script includes
    • Client scripts
    • ACLs
    • Web service proficiency (REST, SOAP) as well as XML and JSON knowledge.
    • ServiceNow expert level expertise in CSM product.
    • Solid grasp of ServiceNow or an equivalent ITSM toolset.
