About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our Global OPEX COE team at Warner Bros. Discovery. As an FP&A Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the business partners in decision-making and providing high-quality forecasting, reporting, and analysis of costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the month-end close process from an FP&A perspective, focusing on streaming OPEX P&L variance analysis.
  • Perform detailed reviews of actual spend with finance business partners and budget holders.
  • Summarize key findings to support discussions and decision-making with the business.
  • Assist in the production of the monthly cost forecast submission and updating of related systems.
  • Support the annual budget process, including the design of templates and critical review of planning assumptions.
  • Support the financial review of key initiatives focused on driving business performance, including the creation and analysis of business cases.
  • Develop actionable insights to improve business unit/regional profitability.
  • Provide insight into financial performance through accurate, timely, and relevant reporting.
  • Interpret and clearly communicate results, reports, and analysis.
  • Continuously review and improve management information.
  • Raise queries to FP&A colleagues based on analysis and insights into Management Information.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks and reporting related to cost management and governance meetings as appropriate.
  • Maintain and improve processes supporting financial planning and analysis activities.
Requirements
  • Experience in FP&A department.
  • Solid understanding of forecasting and budgeting process.
  • General accounting knowledge.
  • CIMA/ACCA qualified or education in progress desired.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong MS Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot) & PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills.
  • Assured self-starter on relevant projects and work is a plus.
  • Strong IT affinity to drive required digital agenda in FP&A (EPM ie. Hyperion, SAP BPC/SAC, BI tools ie. Power BI).
