Materials Sourcing Manager

The Materials Sourcing Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering the sourcing strategy, commercial supplier relationship, supplier performance, and cost management of assigned categories. This role ensures no disruption to the supply chain of raw materials, components, products, or services to manufacturing sites by providing support to the company.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing commodity strategies to procure components in North America, Asia, and other world areas.
- Supporting cost-effectiveness and setting up a consolidated supplier base for products and components as per the commodity strategy.
- Developing, expanding, and consolidating the current supply base to avoid single-source risks.
- Assisting the Sourcing group in overall consolidation of insource/outsource strategies of commodities.
- Contributing to project efficiency by controlling costs and improving benefits when developing new parts.
- Supervising and handling commodity trends, market indexes, budgets, and overall constraints on supply.
- Supporting manufacturing sites and/or distribution centers in supplier-related issues.
- Attending business meetings and keeping updated on developments.
- Acting as the single source of contact between suppliers and manufacturing sites or other areas.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Supply Chain professional with 6-8 years in procurement or purchasing fields with proven experience and a track record of increasing responsibilities.
- Experience in strategic procurement deployment.
- Knowledge and exposure to NPI/NPD projects as a sourcing leader.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Experience handling assigned spend greater than $50M in one or more categories.
- Proven experience in supplier performance and supplier selection.
