We’re seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Baxter. As a Field Service Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with world-class electromechanical medical devices, connectivity devices, and digital systems.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and maintain electromechanical medical devices, connectivity devices, and digital systems in the defined area of responsibility.
- Coordinate and perform necessary upgrades and Field Corrective Actions as required.
- Establish and maintain strong communication and partnerships with customers, team members, and business contacts.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable service and quality requirements to deliver world-class service.
- Report all relevant service activity in the service systems and applicable datasheets to maintain accurate service data.
- Provide customer telephone support when necessary, demonstrating exceptional responsiveness.
- Deliver comprehensive user training to customers, empowering them to optimize device functionality.
- Facilitate and ensure the development of service packages for defined accounts, supporting the achievement of area sales targets.
- Support customer demos, showcasing the exceptional features and benefits of Baxter's products.
- Oversee assigned car stock, spare parts, and assets, ensuring timely manual replacement orders and careful compliance with storage requirements and instructions.
Requirements:
- A degree in engineering and IT knowledge or relevant experience in medical devices or electromechanics.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a service engineer in electromechanical medical devices, showcasing a proven track record of success.
- Proficiency in principles of electronics, electro-mechanics, mechanics, EDS protection/requirements, and Medical Device Directive.
- Excellent skills in task prioritization and clear communication to facilitate efficient coordination with both internal and external partners.
- Exceptional customer-facing and commercial skills, fostering long-lasting relationships and driving customer satisfaction.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced challenging environment, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
- Fluency in Spanish and an intermediate level of English (written and spoken) to effectively communicate with a diverse range of customers and colleagues.
- Passion for delivering high-quality service, going above and beyond to exceed customer expectations.
