- Collaborate with PD&P engineering internationally, perform challenging assignments with minimal guidance, and work cross-functionally with various teams.
- Design and develop electrical hardware for automotive Power Distribution and Protection (PD&P) products.
- Support product sustaining work and cost-out activities.
- Develop and review technical requirements with OEM customers, ensuring compliance with automotive specifications.
- Design and analyze electrical circuits, including micro-based designs, analog designs, and typical automotive circuits.
- Conduct worst-case calculations, DFMEA, FTA, FMEDA, and other design analysis activities.
- Develop design verification test plans and execute testing using test & measurement equipment.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to discuss DFM/DFT topics and ensure design for manufacturability.
- Interface with component manufacturers to discuss integration of their parts into Eaton's circuit designs.
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in new product development of automotive or related electrical design experience.
• Good knowledge of the automotive product design and development cycle (from concept to production).
• Solid understanding of automotive specifications.
• Experience developing project work plans and project risk management.
• Experience reviewing and discussing technical requirements with OEM customers.
• Experience in schematic/Circuit and PCB design of micro-based designs and analog designs.
• Demonstrated circuit design knowledge of typical automotive circuits (I/O, Micro, DC/DC, FET, A/D, Rly CAN, etc.).
• Experience in circuit design analysis: worst-case calculations, DFMEA, FTA, FMEDA, etc.
• Experience in developing design verification test plans.
• Hands-on experience using test & measurement equipment (power supply, oscilloscopes, current probes, oscillators, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in evaluating the thermal performance of electrical designs.
• Understanding of how design for EMC (RE, RI, CE, ESD, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with discussing DFM/DFT topics with the manufacturing plant teams.
• General knowledge of Functional Safety and ISO26262.
• 90% proficient in English language (spoken and written).
• Self-motivated, organized with positive attitude and attention to detail.
• Team player who is willing to learn as well as mentor other team members.
• Open to flexible work solutions.
