About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Data Engineer at Praxis. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing data-driven solutions to drive business growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Data Structure & Architecture: Design and implement data structures and architectures that meet business needs, ensuring data quality, security, and scalability.
  • Technical Execution: Develop and deploy high-quality software solutions, adhering to industry best practices and internal standards.
  • Team & Organizational Support: Provide guidance and support to teams, promoting best practices and values that align with client needs.
  • User Interaction: Engage with end-users to gather and understand business requirements, conducting gap analysis and translating needs for developers.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects and requests concurrently, ensuring adherence to requirements and deadlines.
  • Incident Resolution: Analyze and resolve incidents in the Market Risk Business Area, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years in banking technology projects, with a strong understanding of financial products and markets.
  • Agile Methodologies: Proven experience in Scrum, Kanban, and proficiency with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Financial Products: Strong knowledge of Equities, Interest Rates, Forex, and Credit, with the ability to design and implement data-driven solutions.
  • SQL Expertise: Ability to execute complex SQL queries, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Data Modeling: Experience designing efficient data models, with a strong understanding of data architecture and design principles.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Banking Tools: Familiarity with production tools in banking, such as Service-Now and ControlM.
  • Big Data Expertise: Knowledge of Big Data tools like Scala, Spark, Hive, Impala, and Shell scripting.
  • Cloud & Big Data Architecture: Technical knowledge in cloud solutions and Big Data architecture, with the ability to design and implement scalable data solutions.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability and high proactivity, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
