Citibank, N.A. is seeking a seasoned professional to join its Client Operational Risk Monitoring team as a Client Risk Monitoring Officer.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a practically minded individual with a solid understanding of credit risk controls and a keen interest in making a difference in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, testing, and monitoring key controls, documenting results and reports on findings, working with a geographically dispersed team to perform control monitoring and testing, ensuring appropriate remedial actions are in place where deficiencies are identified, performing root cause analysis, providing governance and oversight over Client-CAO controls, identifying best practices of controls, and implementing business control enhancements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, test, and monitor key controls for each product line and document results/reports on findings
  • Work with a geographically dispersed team to perform control monitoring/testing
  • Ensure appropriate remedial actions are in place where deficiencies are identified; perform root cause analysis
  • Provide governance and oversight over Client-CAO controls
  • Identify best practices of controls
  • Implement business control enhancements
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should possess excellent problem-solving abilities, be results-oriented, and have the ability to collaborate with others to achieve business objectives.

You should also have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, experience in internal operation audit roles or equivalent experience with controls, proven experience in independently handling enhancement projects, interacting with teams across all lines of defense globally, understanding of the Risk & Control disciplines, standards, and associated gold source systems.

A proactive and no surprises approach in communicating issues, excellent written and verbal communication skills, superb presentation skills in person and via video/phone, strong Excel & PowerPoint skills, and bilingual in Spanish (a plus) are essential.

Additionally, you should be able to work collaboratively and independently, navigate a complex organization, and adapt to changing needs.
