Assembly Technician

About the Role:
The Precision Assembler is a key member of our team at Flowserve Corporation, responsible for preparing assembly work and documentation with the highest level of accuracy and quality. This position requires a strong understanding of technical drawings, instructions, and work orders, as well as the ability to assemble complex equipment and tools, perform testing, and ensure all parts and components meet specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble equipment and tools according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Operate precision measuring tools, such as micrometers, vernier, and CMM, in a warehouse environment, as well as hand tools, like hydraulic torque wrench and fire torch
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, ensuring timely completion of tasks
- Read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Write routine reports and communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and customers
- Participate in Continuous Improvement activities, comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures, and maintain a safe working environment

Requirements and Skills:
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, instructions, and work orders
- Knowledge of precision instruments, such as micrometers, vernier, and CMM
- Experience with workshop equipment, including threaded pipe manufacturing
- Familiarity with automation control and electrical components
- Mechanical aptitude, with experience in rotating machines, mechanical devices, or general mechanics
- Basic computer knowledge, including data entry systems and Microsoft Office Package
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
