Job Summary

As a Machinist Setup Specialist at Victor Equipment de Mexico S.A. de C.V., you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines and equipment used in the production of complex products, assemblies, or sub-assemblies. This role requires extensive knowledge of operational and manufacturing principles, as well as machine skills to perform tasks such as feeding materials for processing, adjusting settings, performing minor repairs, and calibrating programs or systems on the machine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manufacturing machinery, including actions such as feeding materials for processing, adjusting settings, performing minor repairs, and calibrating programs or systems on the machine.
  • Check and inspect operation results against predetermined tolerances.
  • Promptly and accurately complete all required recordkeeping.
  • Perform machine maintenance and keep machine and surrounding area clean, safe, and organized.
  • Develop and recommend new methods to improve machine processes.
  • May require ability to read and understand machine programming such as CNC code.

Requirements

This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar position. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in specialized functions and be able to contribute to the development of concepts and techniques. Assignments are complex and require judgement and initiative, and the candidate may act independently to determine methods and procedures for new assignments.
