About the Position

We seek a skilled Software Development Professional to join our Mobile Robot software team in Guadalajara, Jalisco.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create new products and features from user stories, participating in all aspects of product development, including design, code, testing, and maintenance.
  • Contribute to the development efforts, displaying a strong ability to learn new technologies and solve problems through analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate high ownership, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
  • Work effectively within a distributed and international software team, coordinating with application engineers, technicians, and other engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • This role is suitable for Junior through Senior level software engineers.
  • Demonstrable ability to deliver high quality C++ code in a Windows or Linux environment.
  • Experience and strong interest in developing intuitive user interfaces.
  • Experienced with one or more of the following: Qt / QML, WPF, or other UI toolkit.
  • Fluent in software fundamentals including object-oriented software design, data structures, design patterns, code modularity and maintainability.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Passionate about robots and implementing technical innovations to improve our customers' experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with any of: Qt / QML, Qt / Frog logic Squish, Jenkins, JavaScript, Python, HTML.
  • Academic or professional experience with robotics, particularly with autonomous mobile robots, is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of GPU APIs like OpenGL, DirectX, CUDA, OpenCL, etc.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices, version control systems and agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket).
  • Familiarity with iOS or Android development is a strong plus.
