At Micron, we're transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all. As a Senior Employee Relations Advisor, you'll be at the forefront of this vision, driving Employee Relations strategies that accelerate our global mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and direct Employee Relations strategies, influencing local leaders and stakeholders to ensure ER processes are understood and consistently applied by Micron.
  • Lead workplace investigations, adhering to ER's global investigation policy and process, ensuring expedient resolutions and quality communication.
  • Provide ER expertise, consultation, and market insights on labor environments, including benchmarking industry best practices, early warning systems for labor risks, and monitoring trends in labor standards.
  • Partner with global business people partners, Global Executive People Partners, and Centers of Excellence to provide guidance and recommendations on team member issues and People organization programs.
  • Collaborate with the Legal department to manage team member issues, conduct relevant leader trainings, and plan, execute, and monitor team member separations and restructuring activities.
  • Lead labor union relations, staying updated on local trends, industry issues, and government priorities to mitigate company risk, formulating and driving the union engagement strategy for Micron in Mexico.
  • Utilize data analytics to generate insights that inform and improve Employee Relations strategies, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and reviewing and analyzing case metrics and related data.

Requirements

  • Eight years of work experience in Employee Relations, preferably in the manufacturing or technology sector, in leadership positions, with exposure to Mexico and US industries.
  • Direct experience in labor relations, with a strong understanding of Mexican and US labor law and practices, particularly in the State of Jalisco, and global labor standards and issues.
  • Critical thinking skills, keen sense of urgency, independent decision making, exacting standards of compliance, and passion about doing the right thing for the company and its people.
  • Strong people skills, with a good command of written and spoken English, effective communication skills, and the ability to influence and build trusting relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in project management and driving programs collaboratively and independently.
  • Proficient in EthicsPoint, ServiceNow, or other case management tools, and experience with U.S. or multinational companies.
