Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Vehicle Engineering Attribute team as a Vehicle Engineering Attribute Specialist. This role is responsible for meeting critical vehicle level requirements and delivering best-in-class vehicles to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify issues early through digital and/or physical tests and lead cross-functional teams to resolve cross-system issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure vehicle programs meet Vehicle Integration (VI) Attribute Requirements.
- Conduct CAD checks to ensure early design meets VI requirements.
- Conduct vehicle level tests to sign off vehicle programs during the vehicle prototype phase.
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve issues identified during CAD checks, CAE analysis, and/or physical tests.
- Present attribute status at vehicle program milestone management report-outs.
- Serve as the voice of the customer, translating customer expectations into engineering requirements.
- Document lessons learned, improve processes, and revise requirements and design verification methods as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
- Effective communication, written and oral; ability to write and present technical papers to management teams.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to lead meetings, document progress, and prioritize and delegate assignments.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and ability to independently handle complex issues and make quick decisions.
- Experience with vehicle systems, project management, and Systems Engineering is preferred.
