Position Overview
In this pivotal role, you will concentrate on enhancing quality performance to achieve production excellence. This position holds significant visibility and is crucial for the succession plans within the organization. The Quality Engineer will collaborate within the Business Management System to support Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, and the Quality Group (QA Lab and Document Control) in their endeavors to meet or exceed customer expectations while ensuring quality standards are upheld, costs are minimized, and productivity is maximized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate, recommend, and direct research and development initiatives aimed at improving and reducing costs for existing products and processes, as well as introducing new products and processes.
- Coordinate quality-related matters concerning customer complaints, claims, and corrective actions.
- Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement projects.
- Provide internal production quality support related to issue resolution, product quality assessments, and product disposition.
- Support plant quality initiatives and representation in new product development, specification reviews, and quality control standards maintenance.
- Maintain Process Flow Diagrams, Process FMEAs, and Control Plans through cross-functional collaboration.
- Conduct quality audits for the Quality Management System (QMS), products, and processes.
- Manage training programs in QMS areas as necessary.
- Develop systemic enhancements to the plant quality system.
IATF & Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain IATF certification while ensuring compliance with ISO standards. As a member of the top management team for IMS, you will focus on performance, organizational content, leadership, planning, and operational improvements.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Certification in quality engineering, quality management, or auditing is advantageous.
