Eni is seeking a highly skilled Senior Operations Geologist to join our team in Villahermosa, Mexico. As a key member of our exploration department, you will play a critical role in supporting drilling activities from planning to post-drill evaluation and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement geological and operations geology programs, including well data acquisition plans and operational procedures.
- Conduct geological follow-up, data gathering, delivery, analysis, and reporting.
- Integrate well data, prepare end-of-well reports, and evaluate service performance of contractors.
- Interface with government agencies, such as CNH-CNIH.
- Working knowledge of drilling operations and logging operations (while drilling and wireline mode).
- Skills in gas while drilling and logs analysis.
- Technical communication with wellsite geologists onboard.
- Knowledge of LWD (logging while drilling) and Wireline tools, such as gamma, resistivity, density, neutron, sonic, magnetic resonance, image log, sidewall cores, and formation pressure/sampling.
- Reporting to government agencies following their procedures.
- Basic knowledge of Well Control procedures.
- Basic knowledge of Geophysical and Geotechnical site survey acquisition.
- Basic knowledge of PVT analysis.
- Basic knowledge of Contract Management.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills.
- Experience in the petroleum industry with a major oil & gas exploration company or 5 years minimum experience with a service company such as mudlogging, LWD, or wireline logging operations.
- Formal education: Bachelor of Science in Geology.
- Good knowledge of English.
Location: Villahermosa, Mexico
Contract type: 24 Months, Administrative activities in the office
