About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Zillow Group. As a key member of our Transformation Enablement Team, you will play a critical role in architecting, developing, and deploying systems, processes, and environments that support hundreds of services and microservices developed by engineers across ZG.

As a Senior TE, you will interact with engineers we support, help drive migrations/modernization efforts from legacy platforms to our enterprise container platform, and partner with internal stakeholders as a consultant and spokesperson for the work, direction, and philosophy of SRE.

You will ensure developers across Zillow Group create the systems and infrastructure that powers "Zillow 2.0" and consult on design and implementation decisions, assisting them in troubleshooting and debugging related problems.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position, and you will work from a physical location of your choice, which must be identified to the Company.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance, and location.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering experience
  • Experience with SDLC principles, architecture, and operations
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and processes
  • Experience with instrumentation for monitoring and logging the health and availability of services
  • Experience scripting/coding with Python, Java, and/or Golang
  • Experience writing comprehensive documentation
  • Passionate about building and fostering good engineering practices and processes
